An electrical issue was believed to be the cause of the fire that started around 12:30 p.m. just uphill from Old Town, San Diego Fire Department dispatcher said.
As the wedding party escaped, the bride’s dress was still hanging in the back of the bus.
“I was choking and ran back there and grabbed her dress,” the driver said. “There was so much smoke in the back of the bus that I couldn’t see a thing.”
No one was reportedly injured.
Firefighters from Mission Hills and Morena ares extinguished the fire within 12 minutes, the dispatcher said.
Train and trolley service at the Old Town Station were not affected.

Not a bad sign to her wedding day at all. Just bad wiring. I'm not surprised that this happened. Most Party Buses & Limo's, are very Poorly maintained. Plus, as often as these vehicles get trashed, rats get in them, and chew through the wiring. It's hard to find mechanics that know what they are doing. Even harder to find parts for older buses like this one. However, after having been in the "Bus"iness for many years, I can tell you that most PARTY BUS & LIMO companies, cut costs by buying aftermarket mechanical parts, that aren't made for the vehicles they are used in. Think about that next time you go sending your children to the prom in one of those things!

Bus transportation being a large media of public transport carrying people to various places. More people can travel through buses as these are bigger than other transportation medium. Somehow some incidents unusually happens in terms of accidents which causes serious damages. So need to be more careful in case of the bus operators.
