Woman escapes attempted kidnapping near SDSU

Criminal InvestigationSAN DIEGO – A man grabbed a 21-year-old woman and pulled her toward his car in the College area, but got away.

The woman told officers she was walking to her car in the vicinity of 63rd Street and Montezuma Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday when a man drove alongside her in a dark colored Honda Civic, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

The suspect got out of the vehicle, grabbed her and attempted to pull the victim toward him, according to Officer Stafford.

“The woman screamed and broke away from the suspect. The man got back inside his vehicle and fled the scene,” Stafford said.

The suspect is described as a white man, muscle build weighing approximately 170 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
