SAN DIEGO — A La Jolla real estate mogul who put up a controversial billboard to find a girlfriend said the tactic was “a success beyond my wildest dreams.”
The billboard, which had a photo of Marc Paskin and displayed his email address , said, “All I Want for Christmas is a Latina Girlfriend.”
Paskin, who appeared on the ABC reality series “Secret Millionaire” in 2011, wrote an email to FOX5 Tuesday, explaining that he put the billboard up in the hope of meeting his “soul mate.”
“My only desire was to meet someone here in San Diego, but in the past four days I have received over 15,000 emails from women that want to meet me from all over the US and all over the world.”
Paskin said that vandals tore down the billboard, but the response was so great that he had no plans to put it back up.
“Everyone has a right to find love and happiness,” Paskin wrote. “I just went about it in a different way. It is a success beyond my wildest dreams.”

I think it’s great! You took a risk. The people who tore it down don’t take risks and are just jealous that someone had the guts to put themselves out there like that. I admire your guts!
